About ReadyScene

ReadyScene is a free, browser-based generator for tabletop game masters, solo players, and fiction writers who need a usable social scene quickly.

The tool creates system-neutral venues, NPCs, rumors, hidden problems, sensory details, and scene hooks. It is built for the moment when players turn toward an unexpected door, a writer needs a charged location, or a session needs one more useful contact before the next choice.

What ReadyScene builds

ReadyScene focuses on social locations: taverns, cantinas, diners, lounges, guild halls, clinics, markets, frontier stops, and other places where characters can gather information, make deals, find trouble, or create new complications.

A good generated scene should give you four practical pieces: a place, a person, a pressure point, and a reason the scene matters now.

How the generator works

ReadyScene uses curated content tables and browser-side randomization. It does not call a live AI model when you press Generate, and it does not need an account or upload to create a scene.

The lock and reroll controls are designed for actual prep: keep the venue that works, reroll the patrons that do not, save a useful draft locally, then copy or export the version you want to keep.

System-neutral by design

The output describes fiction rather than rules. ReadyScene avoids stat blocks, challenge ratings, named game mechanics, and setting-owned terminology so the same scene can be adapted to fantasy campaigns, science-fantasy ports, cyberpunk nights, mysteries, solo journaling, or prose drafts.

Add your preferred mechanics after the fiction is useful. That keeps the generator flexible instead of locking every result to one ruleset.

How ReadyScene earns trust

The site is built around transparency rather than authority claims. Generated results are raw creative material, not finished canon, professional writing, or a replacement for a game master's judgment.

The best results usually come from editing: cut a line, rename an NPC, combine two hooks, move the venue into your setting, and keep only what helps the table.

Launch record

ReadyScene has a public launch record on Website Launches for basic third-party discovery and launch tracking.

Privacy-conscious structure

The current site is a static browser tool. Scene-library entries, saved drafts, lock state, and theme preference are stored locally in your browser when those features are used. ReadyScene does not provide a cloud campaign archive, so exported files or your own notes remain the durable copy.

Advertising and maintenance

ReadyScene may use advertising in the future to support free access. Ads should not block generator controls, hide scene output, or require an account. Any future ad or analytics scripts should be reflected in the privacy policy before they are enabled.

Feedback and corrections

Corrections, broken links, privacy questions, and generator suggestions can be sent through the Contact page. Useful feedback helps keep the tool practical, accurate, and easier to use at the table.
